Does Icarus fall because his wings cannot hold? Because he does not follow his father’s advice? Because his desire to fly is too great? Or because he uses „technology“ without knowing its limits?

Telling you about the 3rd edition of TEDx Forlì was not easy – I hope you will follow the flight of my thoughts.

And what if Icarus were me? Or what if it were YOU?

How many times, when faced with a challenge, instead of giving up without even trying, have we decided to embark on that journey? Or to make that choice, even though we had no idea what awaited us, who we would meet, or how we would feel?

And yet, that first step – the one that is so terrifying because it feels like walking in the dark, falling into the void, entering an abyss – is always a new beginning.

And life always rewards courage. The courage to make mistakes, to take risks, and even to fail. To get hurt sometimes, and yes, not always having someone there to mend your wounds – sometimes, it’s just YOU.

And yet, we embark on that journey and discover strengths we never imagined we had.

Because, as Sepúlveda says… Only those who dare, fly!

Which speaker impressed me the most? I couldn’t say. They were all extraordinary! Sara Turetta (Save the Dogs), Barbara Schiavulli (Radio Bullets), Fabrizio Ponti (University of Bologna), Enzo Passaro (neuroleadership expert), Alberto Cairo (Nove Caring Humans), Mireya Cannata & Carlo Imparato (Teatro Necessario).

But what struck me the most – at least for me (and the personal reference is necessary because the same phrase, the same movie, the same book can resonate differently with different people) – was precisely the courage of the organizers in daring to choose the myth of Icarus and explore it from different perspectives.

Each speaker was both an example and an expression of courageous lives – lived not only for themselves but also for others. For those without a voice, for those who cannot speak, for those who cannot walk on their own, for those trapped by past mistakes but who are finding meaning in that prison, turning it into a new purpose for life.

But before diving into the “ideas worth spreading,” allow me to take a step back, because Icarus’s flight for PRATI began well before February 1st.

CHIARA PRATI and Annalisa Prati wanted to purchase tickets for the event, and during the Christmas dinner on December 13th at the Giradischi Club in Faenza, we held a raffle. I witnessed pure euphoria.

Just like during the evening itself! We sang at the top of our lungs, thanks to the brilliant hosting of 🎸Club Royal Live Music Entertainment, we threw ourselves into a 💃 contagious dance (Fabio Manara was an incredible discovery! 🕺), and joined a Prati People train filled with laughter. The rest is Team Secret!

The journey to TEDx began at Stazione Prati Team, with those who, like Nicoletta Palli, had already expressed the desire to attend since last year’s edition. 🎶
