Together “Against the Wind” to give voice to ideas that drive change

Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Teatro Diego Fabbri in Forlì, the 4th edition of TEDxForlì returns – an event that Prati has chosen to support in order to help create an internationally inspired experience that will bring to Forlì researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, and innovators ready to share their ideas.
We believe in the value of culture, progress, and all the beautiful things that help our region grow.

Once again, the organizers aim high with an intense and challenging theme:
UPWIND – DON QUIXOTE AND THOSE WHO STILL DARE TO DREAM.

Don Quixote wasn’t crazy. He simply had a dream. And he believed in that dream so deeply that he never stopped, even when everyone laughed at him. Even when reality told him: “It makes no sense, give it up.”

UPWIND means having a desire that is great, genuine, profound. And following it. Even when it seems impossible. Even when the world invites you to give up, to stop believing.

It is not about going against everything at all costs.
It is not about being “alternative” for the sake of it.
UPWIND is the natural consequence of those who refuse to resign themselves.
Of those who choose to believe – still.

It is loyalty to one’s elementary needs, to the desire for truth, beauty, and justice, despite the headwind of resignation, cynicism, and apathy.

Inspired by this philosophy, the organizers of TEDxForlì 2026 want to give voice to ideas born from the courage of those who do not surrender. Those who follow their ideals, all the way.
And who find the strength and courage to move forward, even UPWIND.

Some previews about the speakers

• EUGENIO GENESI & FRANCESCO GARRUBA
  Pharmacists and scientific communicators, they foundedInCasoDi, a health communication project created on social media to provide updated information on prevention. Real longevity is not “living long full of medicines,” but living long without needing them, thanks to small daily habits. They will talk about a shift in perspective on prevention – one that does not come from trends or miraculous solutions, but from simple, sustainable choices.
  Not a cure, but a culture of health.
• JACOPO PERFETTI
  Co-founder ofit, a training platform dedicated to AI, he also created Youpiter, a micro-learning platform for developing skills in the age of automation, helping people collaborate with AI tools without losing their creativity.
  He will take us into the world of “robots that write.”
• NICOLETTA VERNA
  She brings to the stage stories of fragility, affection, memory, and nonviolent resistance. Her words explore the power of places and deep connections that make us feel at home even when the world disorients us. WithIl valore affettivo(Einaudi), she received several awards (special mention at the Premio Calvino, Premio Severino Cesari, and Premio Massarosa).
  In her book I giorni di vetro, set in Castrocaro Terme during Fascism, she undertakes a journey through memory that earned her the Premio Manzoni for Historical Fiction and the European Union Prize for Literature.
  In her TEDxTalk, she will guide us through a reflection on roots, belonging, and the silent strength that binds us together.
• LUCA BERNABEI
  An Italian television producer, he will take us behind the scenes of TV to reveal how a series is created – one that “re-unites” families in front of the screen, that entertains while also inspiring thought.
  He has produced more than a hundred TV series, films, and miniseries (includingDon Matteo, DOC, Blanca, Che Dio ci aiuti, I Medici, and Leonardo), all now part of Italian pop culture, without ever trading values for an extra point of share.
  He chose to tell stories of goodness, resilience, and humanity – to engage without scandalizing, to reach the heart without hurting.
• FRANCESCA DONNARUMMA & ROSSANO BARTOLI
  At the age of twelve, Francesca was diagnosed with Usher syndrome, a rare disease leading to progressive loss of sight and hearing. Today she is completely blind, but thanks to a cochlear implant she has regained the sound of voices and music.
  At her side on stage will be Rossano Bartoli, President of theLega del Filo d’Oro, who has dedicated more than fifty years to one mission: ensuring that no deafblind person is left alone.
  How do you communicate with someone who cannot see or hear?
  They will take us where words cannot reach, reminding us that barriers are dismantled together – with responsibility, empathy, and courage.
• PIER FRANCESCO FERRUCCI
  One of the protagonists of the famous prank involving the “Modigliani heads,” when in 1984 three carved heads were retrieved from theFosso Reale in Livorno and mistaken for authentic works.
  That episode made him famous, but he chose another path.
  He studied Medicine, specialized in Oncology, and worked at the IEO for more than thirty years. He is now Scientific Director of the Fondazione Grazia Focacci, dedicated to research and family support.
  Over time, he discovered that telling that old story to patients made him more human – it opened doors, broke down barriers, created empathy.
  And above all, the ability to smile at one’s own past brought people closer together.
